In 1822 Hogge & Allen are listed as Brewers and Wine and Spirit
Merchants. By 1839 George Hogge was being listed on his own at the Setch
Bridge Brewery. Hogge and Seppings are first listed in 1850 as Brewers,
Wine and Spirit Merchants, Ale and Porter and Maltsters. Hogge and
Seppings continue to be listed until 1916 when they became a Limited
company. The last entry for Hogge and Seppings is in 1925 and in 1928
they were taken over by Bullards of Norwich. Hogge and Seppings also had
stores at King's Lynn and Stoke Ferry. |
