John Hammond was first listed in Bale in the 1864 White's directory and continued being listed until 1892 when John Hammond Junior and John Hammond Junior were both listed John Hammond Junior at Church House and John Hammond Senior at Manor Farm, John Hammond Senior was last listed in 1900, in 1908 John Hammond was listed at Manor Farm and Church House and then continued to be listed at Church House up until the 1931 Kelly's Directory.
